Web Design Intern

Job Description

SMARTdigicom, Inc. is seeking a passionate and driven Website Design Intern to join our dynamic team! This internship offers a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the fast-paced world of web development and design. You’ll work alongside experienced professionals, contributing to real-world projects and building a strong portfolio.

What You’ll Do & Learn

• Assist in the design and development of website layouts and user interfaces.
• Write clean, semantic, and accessible HTML5 markup.
• Collaborate with designers and developers to implement website features.
• Contribute to the creation and maintenance of website style guides.
• Optimize website performance for various devices and browsers.
• Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute creative ideas.
• Assist with website content updates and maintenance.
• Learn and apply best practices for web development and design.
• Potentially assist with basic CSS and JavaScript tasks (depending on skill level and project needs).

Experience

• Rising juniors, seniors, graduate students or post-graduates who recently finished their degree in advertising, marketing, business administration, communications or related fields.
• Strong understanding of HTML5 and its core elements.
• Basic understanding of web design principles.
• Familiarity with web browser developer tools.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Excellent attention to detail and a strong work ethic.
• A passion for web design and a desire to learn.
• Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines.

Preferred Skills (Bonus):

• Basic knowledge of CSS3 and JavaScript.
• Experience with responsive web design.
• Familiarity with design tools such as Figma or Adobe XD.
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Understanding of web accessibility guidelines (WCAG).
